"...I could heal and rebuild my life."

I had the opportunity of living in Alpha Omega recovery house for one year and two months. During this time, the supportive environment combined with 12 step program played a crucial role in my journey towards recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Lee's compassionate guidance and the sense of community in the house made it a safe haven where I could heal and rebuild my life. I'm deeply grateful for the positive impact this experience has had on my recovery and personal growth. Thank you, Lee, for all your support and providing such a wonderful place for us to find our way back to health and happiness. Today I'm sober for three years and eleven months.

- Best regards Bek.

"...was instrumental in my recovery..."

My Name is Ed and I am an alcoholic. If you are reading this you are considering going into Alpha Omega clean and sober living. I understand what you may be feeling and thinking at this moment. Should I? What will happen? How will I survive without drinking and using? I made a decision to go into Alpha Omega almost 15 years ago and my life has changed completely! The house helped me get back into a healthy daily routine. It provided me with a clean, safe, supportive environment while I attended meetings and began working again. Lee P. was instrumental in my recovery and was understanding and compassionate. I am very grateful to him for the life I have today. So, if you are thinking about going into Alpha Omega…. Are you ready to have the best possible life you deserve?

"...to work on self and transform my life."

My name is Nathan and I was blessed with the opportunity to reside at the Alpha and Omega Recovery Home. The relationship I have with Lee the owner, is not landlord and tenant. It is Father and Son. In life I understand that some people are willing to help but they don't care. And some people care but they are not willing. Lee is a a man of God that cares and is willing to help men in recovery save their lives. He opened the doors of his home to me and for that I am eternally grateful. Lee is special and special is the word that best describes him. While living at the Alpha and Omega Recovery Home, I was able to work on self and transform my life. I entered the Alpha and Omega Home in alcoholic despair but I left a redeemed, forgiven child of God. Lee helped me save my life and that is a debt I will never be able to repay.

"...completed the program without a relapse."

I found this residential housing for my brother, David, in June 2018. My brother is bipolar. At the time, he had been living on the streets for 5 years, he was only one week clean from using Meth and 4-6 weeks before, he had started taking his bipolar medication. He moved in the middle of July 2018.
Finding Alpha Omega was a godsend to our family. I am a professional person working 50-60 hours a week. I needed to know that my brother had a safe, supportive, and clean place to live. Lee was invaluable to us while David adjusted to being off the streets and having rules to follow. The initial days, weeks, and months are quite turbulent for any person in recovery. David was no different. David was also in Oakland drug court and Lee even joined us to represent to the court that David was living at Omega and was following the rules. In fact, David was the first drug court attendee in years to have successfully completed the program without a relapse. David was committed. Someone becoming clean and sober needs a village of support. David was fortunate. The initial months following his move into Alpha Omega, required day-by-day efforts both on David’s part and our family.
As I write this now in 2024, 6 years later, David is flourishing as he continues to work his program. We continue hold a great deal of gratitude to Lee for his commitment to men who make the commitment to be clean and sober. Without his early involvement in David’s journey, our story would be very different.

"I was living on the streets..."

I would just like to offer my personal opinion as to the Alpha Omega house, how it came into my life at just the right time. I was living on the streets of Oakland I wanted a sober, living environment SLE to get away from that using environment of drugs and alcohol. My sister actually found Alpha Omega House and it turned out to be a great environment. I had a seven day a week AA meetings right around the corner at the Lutheran Church so I had an alcohol anonymous home group. In the same neighborhood the BART station wasn’t too far away at the time I didn’t have a vehicle I actually operating electric scooter at the time I was able to go back-and-forth to court in Oakland pretty regularly since I was involved with the drug and alcohol Court of Oakland. Which I actually graduated successfully until this day. The household was a pretty good group of fellows. If there’s any trouble in the household, Lee would have a household meeting get things straightened out. Lee was a pretty good fellow to work with. And still to this day, I’m friends with Lee and Owe him a great form of gratitude to him For having the household available as an SLE.

"...my previous life lacked proper structure."

My name is Jose F. It was a pleasure to live at Alpha and Omega where I felt comfortable and accepted. My time at Alpha Omega was a delightful experience during which I embraced the opportunity to establish a solid foundation for myself. It served as a catalyst for my personal growth and self-improvement. Recovery is an individual decision, and it requires a willingness to fully dedicate oneself without taking any shortcuts. Alpha Omega is a place where sobriety can be attained via the implementation of straightforward guidelines. This was necessary for me as my previous life lacked proper structure. Alpha Omega offers a high level of comfort and is priced at a reasonable rate. I strongly recommend it. It is not merely a location for accommodation; one must be really committed to their recovery. In order to ensure a smooth transition into a new life, it is essential that you dedicate significant effort towards self-improvement and the modification of your behaviors.

"It introduced me to the real world."

2022 coming to Alpha Omega
I had lost my mom and lost hope. Drinking increased by the day, it was how I coped with the loss and pain. The thoughts and feelings I had about myself and what this life is, matched that story I kept re-creating, stuck in darkness. The house (Alpha Omega) changed all that for me. A process I feel is divinely inspired, everything I knew about life and how I saw life has changed since I lived there. It introduced me to the real world, the one of beauty and love and hope, and most of all brotherhood, where I know that if I’m honest with the ones in my life, I never have to return to the darkness and to the contrary can sustain living in the light. I experienced countless miracles and shifts in perception. It helped me to change my life and undid a lifetime of wrong information. I’m forever grateful to Lee and Alpha Omega.

"...I was able to change for the better."

I came to Alpha Omega after 21 months living at another SLE. I was going backwards in my program and the different environment helped me to go forward again in my recovery. At Alpha Omega I was able to tackle thoughts of using within my mind that I couldn't let go of. With continued hard work and dedication to working on bettering my spiritual condition I was able to change for the better. Lee helped me alot to push myself further and by the time I left I could finally be truthful to myself as well others about the way I felt about using again. I had turned the corner from secretly wanting to use and then I gradually was able to tell myself inside my mind that I do not want to use again. This was a huge improvement in my recovery that had dogged me. I liked the front porch, comfort of the house, and made friends that will last a lifetime. The house is located close to stores, bus lines, and a morning meeting. I was able to bike and bus everywhere with no problems. It is a really great place to live. Thanks.

"...continued to get closer with my teenage son,"

My name is Kelly C. I moved into Alpha Omega at about 13 months sober as I wanted a safe, clean place to further my recovery. The previous SLE was very overly crowded, unclean and not everyone there was staying clean and sober. Lee's sober living is spacious, homelike and certainly not overcrowded. The other residents there were focused, actively participating in the 12 steps and staying clean and sober. I repaired my relationship and continued to get closer with my teenage son, further strengthening our relationship. It is now better than ever today. Lee worked with me as my work shifts were grave yard. I still continued to attend meetings as required and worked with my sponsor which allowed me to continue growing. I've been with the same job since moving into Alpha Omega and am now a Supervisor! I attribute this to my recovery. I'm not the same guy I was before I moved into Alpha Omega. I resided there for a little more than a year and eventually was able to move into a newly remodeled apartment with a fellow resident from Alpha Omega. I'm still clean and sober today and nearing five years of continued recovery.
